Description
Season Seven of Degrassi: The Next Generation ventures into new and more provocative territory for young adults, as it picks up in the middle of a school year already riddled with tragedy. A fire at Lakehurst, the school of JT's killer, forces many of its students into the halls of Degrassi with explosive results. Amidst the newfound clutter and chaos, Spinner and Darcy deal with dark, personal tragedies, Jimmy and Ashley test their love, and Emma and Manny explore new, surprising relationships - all while hurtling toward graduation. New students struggle to find their places in the school, leading to violence and tears, but also healthy competition and new friendships. At the university house, the gang gets a new roommate and strays further from the safety of Degrassi. Ellie and Marco discover that exploring their new freedom comes with dire consequences, while Paige, fresh from flaming out of school, gets a great new job, but learns quickly the demands of the real world.
Customer reviews for 'Degrassi: The Next Generation Season 7'
«Love the show»
This season wasn't that great cuz all of my fave characters left the show. They are Dylan, Marco, and, Paige. Dylan wasnt in this season but he was mention a lot. Marco and pagie was on the show but were in little episodes. Pagie got back with Alex and they ended up breaking up once agian and got with griffin.Darcy was raped and brough in a good amount of episodes with her storyline. A lot of new charatcers were introduce this season including Holly J one of the meanest person to ever attend Degrassi. Jane and Spinner started dating. Peter becomes emciapted from his parents. Ashley leaves the show I dont really care for her. Emma becomes more annoying. Manny and jay gets engage. This season wasn't that great but for once I can say that I love Darcy's storylines cuz in a couple of episodes centers it and it brings a lot of charatcers into the mix. Buy it now cuz its worth it.

«another winning season»
Season 7 is the first to deal with the major characters in college, and I thought the show had a fantastic transition. I'm so glad I watched it all unfold on dvd because this season, even more than those in the past, featured different characters in different episodes. Cliff hangers kept me watching most of this season in one sitting because storylines lasted for several episodes. For some, the mix of locations might not be as enjoyable, but I think it's wonderful to see these characters grown up. As always, please start with season one, or the character development and their witty antics won't be nearly as entertaining.

«One of my favorite shows, for teens & up»
Who would think that a Husband & Wife at the age of 49 would stay up all night long to watch
Degrassi: The Next Generation, thats how much we love the show. I will admit, I sure miss Lauren Collins, and find she is missing in a lot of episodes, she plays the perfect little miss priss, which brings that edge and laughter to the show. I started watching the show with my then pre-teenager, now over 18, and stayed a fan. The show is clean, with life experiences teens can learn by and adults can reflect back in school days, going through the same exact issues. Sad to loose JT from the show, his story line could of been written a little longer with maybe him & Liberty smooching again. The new cast is a tad short on excitment, but should draw the attention of the juniors. We must admit, we have a favorite actor on the show, Marco, out heart goes with you sweetie, your the best.
